Peppergrass Farm is owned and operated by Debbie Place and her husband Bob.
Debbie has been riding for over 45 years and has trained and shown many horses to FEI level Eventing and Dressage.
She has lived in Maine for 25 years and opened Peppergrass Farm in 2003.
Debbie has extensive experience training horses and riders for competition at all levels, including USPC students. She is a former President of Maine Combined Training Association and continues to work on the future of Eventing here in Maine.
Her students learn all aspects of horsemanship involved in maintaining a healthy performance horse and she readies horses and students for competition from Maine to Florida. Many of Debbie’s students have earned numerous awards at USEA Events and have attended the American Eventing Championships.
Debbie started Eventing in the Classical Long Format and still enjoys preparing students interested in trying this format, which is stillavailable today at the CCI level.
Her positive attitude towards riders' goals make for a training environment that is supportive and educational whilst maintaining a community of caring horse people. Many Students have gone on to professional positions with top international competitors.
Debbie maintains a professional staff at Peppergrass Farm to assist in the care and training of horses and riders. It is a full service facility where every need for your horse can be taken care of.
